Rune does not support the use of any palm oil, including RSPO (Sustainable) certified palm oil. Despite the "sustainable" label, palm oil remains a problematic resource with many flaws in regulatory bodies and their certified farms.

Palm oil is commonly found in emulsifiers and thickeners like cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, and sorbitan olivate, which are often used in natural and certified organic skincare products. Even brands promoting ethical and natural ingredients may still use these palm oil-derived components in their formulations.
